I used to be a Hanks fan and I think he can be in a great film again. Maybe Captain Phillips with Paul Greengrass behind the camera could be the one!

I have a Love-Hate relationship with PTA so am never sure about one of his films until I have seen it. The Master does sound interesting though!

I’m not a Hanks fan, but I always find myself watching the Terminal if it’s on. It’s a dreadful film but there’s something about it that sucks me in.

I also enjoy Bonfire of the Vanities. Another dreadful film but fun to watch.

I had a similar experience with Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Wearing 3D glasses on top of normal glasses is a pain and watching a dark film is very distracting. I enjoyed the film much better once I watched it in 2D.

Toy Story 3 was a more pleasurable experience as the film is lighter and more suitable to 3D effects.

Such a shame neither cinema was showing 2D for you.

One of the best experiences with kids I have had was when I babysitted my nephews (4 & 7) who are into guns, explosions and general boys stuff.

I put Wizard of Oz on for them to watch despite their complaints. It was amazing to see them go from jumping around to transfixed by a film that was over 70 years old. Some things really are timeless!

I bought The Searchers a couple of months ago – classis. And the kids and I watched Seven Brides last week, I love old movies but if was great to see the kids enjoying them too – they loved Seven Brides
