Check out this video of the potential future of home entertainment…

This is obviously not real at the moment but is a product in R&D at Microsoft. If your first reaction is that it will never work and it is just another one of those crazy ideas that will never actually work know this; a man named Johnny Lee is working on this project. If you don’t know who Johnny Lee he is famous for using a Wii remote for a number of new and amazingly genius purposes. Check out these videos (you won’t regret it):

Looks cool, probably isnt too far off. Can imagine it being very frustrating if it isnt 100% spot on with the recognition though. Wont be buying any first releases of it :P

Oh and seen Johnny Lee’s stuff before, bit of a ledge!

Just to correct you a little bit, the video you’ve shown of Project Natal is obviously simulated however at the E3 press conference, where they showed this video, they also showed a few demos running with presenters playing them live on stage.

They already have dev. kits with most third party developers. 2 of the 3 demos shown live at E3 were running on Unreal Engine 3 and Epic (dev. of UE3) are licensing UE3 with Natal support to various developers. The other demo was running off a version of the Fable 2 game engine and according to Peter Molyneux (although most things he says should be taken with a pinch of salt) he has a game ready to publish but is waiting for the hardware to go into production.
